How To Find Digital Scrapbooking Graphics

For digital scrapbookers, finding good sources for scrapbooking graphics is a must.  With an arsenal of attractive backgrounds and papers, unique embellishments, icons, shapes, alphabets, templates and themed kits at  your disposal, you’ll be ready to create a unique keepsake to print or share.

There are three main categories of scrapbooking graphic resources:

Free Graphics and Clipart

If you do an internet search you will find a number of sites offering scrapbooking graphics freebies including embellishments, backgrounds, clipart, fonts and even templates. Typically these items are free to download for personal use. If you are seeking a particular item such as a fun background and don’t need a whole set of themed graphics, this may be the answer for you. Quality can vary; some free clipart I’ve found is quite good.

Scrapbook Graphics Via Paid Download

If you are looking for high quality scrapbooking graphics, especially a themed kit or template with a complement of papers, page embellishments and fonts, etc., purchasing a professionally designed kit is your best bet. There are many sites offering high quality downloadable kits and templates for reasonable fees, many for under $10. You can find a myriad of sites by doing an internet search.

Graphics and Templates Bundled with Scrapbooking Software

If you’re new to digital scrapbooking, I recommend that you start by purchasing a scrapbooking software program. This will allow you to build a beautiful Scrapbook Page in just a few minutes. Programs typically include a wide array of professionally designed templates, backgrounds, embellishments, fonts, icons, word art, and more. Most offer the option of downloading  additional templates and graphics from their websites. Some of these additional graphics are free; themed kits are usually available for purchase with immediate download.

Once you have amassed a collection of scrapbooking graphics, you’ll find it’s fun and easy to create unique mementos for printing and sharing.
